5 Tips for a Successful Office Revamp this Spring!

Spring is the Ideal Time for an Office Revamp
Spring has well and truly sprung and there is no better time than now for an office revamp! But where to start? Here at AOF we’ve put our collective minds together to come up with five practical tips to help our readers make the most of their space. In our experience, these are the main ways to give your office space a refurbished look and feel without breaking the bank.

De-Clutter the Office!
1. De-clutter your Office Space
The simplest and best way to start revamping your office is to get rid of any unwanted furniture, clutter, or any other items that may be unwanted and taking up space. More space helps to create more light, and more light is good for the human soul. Adding appropriate office storage always help to reduced clutter, while adding plants or flowers and other organic additions has been proven to help reduce stress levels. They add brightness and colour to your space too, of course, and they can help increase productivity. Spider plants, peace lilies, aloe vera, and cacti are all popular within office culture.

You can Part-Exchange your Furniture
2. Part-Exchange your Old Office Furniture
If your office furniture is old and dusty or failing to operate as it should, there is a way to get a whole new décor on the go, without filing for bankruptcy in the process. Part-exchange your old furniture to get discount on new items. This is a service many of our clients at AOF find very useful and it is the best way to get a whole new set of furniture for a heavily discounted price. Not to mention you won’t have to worry about disposing of your old items!

Lighter & Brighter Colours Give the Impression of More Space
3. Use Light Colours and Illuminate your Space
Lighter colours and finishes naturally reflect more light. This, in turn, would make the room seem bigger, brighter, and more comfortable. If it is currently daubed in dark colours, these could be absorbing light and so contributing to a cramped feeling.
No matter how pale the walls look, there might remain a relatively limited amount of light for them to reflect. If this is indeed the case, it would be wise for you to investigate potential options for bringing extra light — whether natural or artificial — into the room.
To this end, you could have large windows and various electrical lighting fixtures put in place.

Air Conditioning Unit
4. Improve Air Flow Within the Office
A hot and humid office can often feel smaller and less comfortable, especially if its already small to begin with! Increase the air flow to your office area by installing air conditioning, or if that’s not convenient, a few strategically placed fans can also do the trick. If your space feels airier, it will feel more spacious.

Good Old Fashioned Spring Clean!
5. Spring Clean!
The handiest and most cost-effective method to increase the light and brightness in your office space is a good old-fashioned spring clean. Get the team together, get your rubber gloves on, and start polishing (unless you’re stepping on your cleaner’s toes)! Get your windows as clean and clear as possible, for a start, to allow for more natural light to shine through.
