There are several designer office chairs that are often considered when shortlisting the best and most ergonomic, but which one is THE best? We’ve tried them all here at AOF, so let’s get straight down to it and review each of the main contenders.

No chair on this list has more ergonomic features than the Ergohuman Office Chair. Its giant list of features includes full adjustable lumbar support, seat depth adjustment, height adjustment, and an adjustable headrest. A truly great feat of engineering in its versatility, the only negatives would be that that the Ergohuman chair could maybe be a bit less bulky, catering for smaller spaces, and keep all its amazing adjustable features. It is also the most expensive chair on the list, albeit worth every penny.

Enjoy Chair
From the same family as the Ergohuman, The Enjoy Chair is rather similar by design. Its main difference is it has a one-piece backrest, instead of the Ergohuman’s two-piece. This allows it to be a little less clunky, and with the Enjoy chair also costing less than the Ergohuman, we believe this office chair to be right up there with the best office chair design ever, the Herman Miller Aeron Chair.

The Herman Miller Aeron Chair has it all. All the adjustable ergonomic features you could want, including an adjustable seat, adjustable armrests, and adjustable lumbar support. Its also made from the finest quality materials and is without a doubt AOF’s pick of the bunch. The only negative we would venture is that if bought brand new, this designer office chair costs a pretty penny, being worth over a thousand pounds. However, you can find yourself a second-hand version in good condition, and they often go for less than half price. Durable, easy-on-the-eye, and compact and practical by design, the Aeron beats all.

Bestuhl J1 Office Chair
Bestuhl J1 Mesh Task Chair
Another designer office chair model that’s right up there with the best of them is the Bestuhl J1 Mesh Task Chair. One of the best features of this chair is its sturdy yet compact design. Like all the other chairs on this list it has all the adjustable features you could want, but it is significantly cheaper! It also has a fabric seat as opposed to the mesh seats of the others, which some people can prefer.

So there you have it. All four of these chairs are elite designer ergonomic chairs, but the Herman Miller Aeron takes the award, simply for being more well-rounded than the other contenders overall.
