Office Meeting Table

If you haven’t had to buy an office table before, you might think it a straightforward task. I mean, how many types of tables can there be? Well, although there aren’t a ton, there’s enough to cause potential problems if you don’t know what to look for. So, let’s look at which office tables are out there to best suit your needs.

Round Meeting Tables

Standard Meeting Tables

Your standard office meeting tables are most commonly round or rectangular in shape, with wooden tops, often made from wood MFC. Usually available in a choice of wood finish, they come with a variety of frame/base types, including steel ‘A’ shaped frames, steel trumpet bases, and goal post legs. These frames and legs are usually available in a choice of colour finish too, most commonly black, silver, and white.

D Ended Boardroom Tables

When it comes to meeting tables for the boardroom, they tend to start getting larger and more luxurious in style and shape. The most common shapes are barrel, ‘D’ ended, and oval, with tapering ends allowing for more space-saving within the room. These kinds of larger office tables are more likely to include power modules and cable management accessories.

Folding & Flip-Top Table

Ideal for temporary use, folding and flip-top tables do exactly as their names suggest. Their tops are foldable or flippable, allowing you to quickly and easily store the tables away, when not in use. These tables almost always come with castor bases too, for mobility, while the castors are often lockable, for stability.

Glass Coffee Table

Coffee Tables

Perhaps the most varied and versatile of office table types, the coffee table can come in all manner of styles, sizes, and materials. Ranging from small circular glass coffee tables, to large rectangular wooden coffee tables, picking the right one is really down to what your space requires. Normally found in reception areas, waiting rooms, and breakout spaces, coffee tables also tend to be lower in height than other types of office tables, and accompanied by soft seating (sofas and armchairs) or other types of visitor chairs.

Poseur Tables

Poseur Tables are much taller than your average office table and can only really be used with high stools or draughtsman chairs/stools. Often found in breakout and meeting spaces within the office, poseur tables are also popular in bars, cafes, and restaurants.
