The most damage you are likely to find on a second hand pedestal is some scratches or dents (or missing keys), which is why purchasing them used, for around half the price of the new, makes so much sense!

Again, normally formed of wood or steel, office stationery cupboards are perfect for more general office storage of books, paperwork, files, and various other items. When purchased second hand the main problems can be missing shelves or keys, with some minor scratches or dents to the carcase. However, if you make sure this isn’t the case before you buy it, then you are practically getting yourself a cupboard that’s as good as new, for a greatly discounted price.

Lockers and Cabinets

Personal storage lockers are often found in many offices, gyms, restaurants, or any other professional setting where teams of workers are placed. These lockers and filing cabinets can be especially expensive when purchased new, and again, if you make sure you have a key (or keys; which can be ordered separately if needed), you are far better off buying these units second hand.

Other useful items of second hand office storage include tambour cupboards, credenza units and sideboards, side filers, bookcases, and planters. With the exception of tambour cupboards and side filers, which tend to have a few smaller working components, these are all quite simple and practical designs again, meaning you are likely to find them in good nick second hand.
